At a cost of approximately €6.5m, the eight-hundred-year-old St Mary’s Church in Kilkenny has been converted and extended into a modern museum. The 13th-century St Mary’s Church and graveyard off the High Street in Kilkenny displays Kilkenny’s civic treasures, relates the social history of the ancient city, and the history of the many medieval buildings within the old city’s walls.
