Our 3,500 strong Appeal to have the Beit picture sale postponed has now resulted in the intervention of the Minister for the Arts.

This is great news.

A postponement, at least, is now a strong probability. A new context for the future of the Russborough estate is now up for discussion.

So well done to you.

And thank you for demonstrating to the world how much we appreciate the extraordinary bequest of Alfred and Clementine Beit to the Irish people.
