My Degree collection is inspired by the women of the Easter rising of 1916, concentrating on a group known as the ‘Cumann na Mban’. I am interested in the juxtaposition between the masculine and the feminine and using traditional menswear as a starting point for womenswear. The collection is for a contemporary Irish woman inspired by her past.
