By re-purposing discarded materials (waste) I increase the objects value, but by stripping an object of its intended function, I decrease its value.This creates a sense of ambivalence. Have I enhanced these objects? Have I lessened them? Or have I done both? The objects I use are transformed to a point, yet still identifiable, sitting somewhere where between the quotidian and the abnormal.
