Ali Kirby combines objects and materials into sculptural assemblages that visually respond to the built environment. Her approach to materials and colour is intuitive yet considered, often employing pastel tones and soft textures to position her work within the realm of the domestic. This in turn allows for unconscious associations to emerge.
