Barbara Kenneally has been awarded an Eli Lilly Purchase Prize and a residency in the Glass Studio at CIT Crawford College of Art and Design for the academic year 2016/2017.
She will be participating in the group exhibition “Fledglings” at the Lavit Gallery, Cork in August 2016.

The beauty of the Beara Peninsula in West Cork is a constant source of inspiration for me. Copper mining took place here from prehistoric times. The interaction of Nature on the manmade interventions in the landscape yields spectacularly vibrant colours. Glass has an honest purity and natural allure. Its ability to embody light allows for exploration of the surface and subsurface.
