I am a young artist from Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan working primarily in etching. My work deals mostly with the aesthetics surrounding old, dilapidated buildings, coupled with resultant natural reclamation. Essentially, I ask: in allowing splendid features of architecture to go to ruin, are we ignoring a part of our cultural heritage, or are we graciously allowing nature to rejuvenate and thrive?
