The interest of the work lies in the affordances of urban architecture. The thesis advocates a mode of urban intervention which prioritises accessibility and usability, in an attempt to encourage participation in and emphasise the value of the public realm. The project engages with existing social and physical structures to arrive at an architecture which is relevant and sustainable.
