My work is focused primarily on exploring the flesh; the manipulation and distortion of the body. My process began with researching images of bruising and physical marks on bodies and applying these tonal qualities and similar mark makings to images I had photographed of myself. This series of self portraits happened subconsciously, but became an integrel part of my work.
