My work investigates Irish boglands cultural and environmental significance through the idea of land memory. Solid and liquid, familiar and alien, permanent and evanescent. The paint describes the seepage between past and present in these complex and contradictory landscapes. The land has memory. In these paintings I hope to work in collaboration with the land to represent it’s lived experience.
