This Thesis is a response to the City; how we make and use the spaces created in it. It is primarily concerned with the ways and means people wash and dry their clothes in the City, an issue that can be approached in terms of humanity and dignity, but also as a feminist issue in historical associative terms. The project reinvents the neighbourhood laundry typology in Dublin's City Centre.
