Naomhan's work is inspired by the concept of the uncanny home or ‘Das Unheimlich’. He places himself into strange positions around the home, fighting against gravity. Through the use of the male body, Naomhan subverts the notion of the ‘woman trapped by the home', comparing the concept of ‘maleness’ with the Latin prefix ‘male-’ a signifier for something abnormal or evil.
