On a visit to the shipyard lands, Belfast and the abandoned 'Spode Works' factory, Stoke-on-Trent I saw how loosing an integral part of society affected the community. In response, the objects I have made have an illusion of purpose, yet they cannot be used. Like people, these objects sit confident and bold hoping to retain an identity and yet embody that which has been lost.
