Kamel's work examines the journey of Arabic from its Quranic origins to its contemporary state through etching, screen print and installation. Her work also pays tribute to the work of world-renowned sociolinguist ElSaid Badawi who divided Arabic into 5 levels creating a spectrum of use between classical and colloquial Arabic.
