My thesis project is primarily concerned with materiality, that is to say, the things that make up buildings and places. Rather than focusing on a specific site, function or building typology, it is intended to be a methodology. Testing began with natural and found compositions in the Burren before investigating the coded fabric of a village (Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare). The tests and propositions within my thesis culminate to form a sort of architectural questionnaire, an approach to acting by looking.
