The Irish Arts Review remembers Patrick Pye (1929-2018) who recently passed away. Patrick Pye was credited with revitalising religious art through his paintings, designs for stained-glass and a number of altarpieces. He was also a noted printmaker and a writer of clarity on art, the most important of which were Has Art Any Meaning? Apples and Angels and The Time Gatherer. We republish here, from the IAR Archive, Brian McAvera’s interview with Patrick Pye from Spring 2009.
