Oliver Sears Gallery’s forthcoming exhibition ‘Two Person Exhibition’ will showcase artwork by Seán Hillen and Stephanie Rowe. Hillen’s new series of photo-works incorporate original photographs and digital and paper photo-collages to create a collection that reinterprets the reality produced by photography. Recently, the Newry-born artist has been turning his lens on the mysterious world of the heavens. Stephanie Rowe presents another form of reinterpretation. Her paintings are derived from a variety of film sources that are re-purposed and translated into paint. Her work combines various themes, breaking narratives to create new subjects and stories. Rowe’s work investigates the effect of colour on the content of a painting.
