At the Mid Antrim Museum and Arts Centre at The Braid, the first in a series of exhibitions this summer is ‘Art of the Liner’, on loan from the National Museums of Northern Ireland, showcasing the work of maritime artist Kenneth Denton Shoesmith (1890 – 1939). Alongside this, works by Maurice Orr will show. In July, six contemporary makers respond to footage from Northern Ireland’s Digital Film Archive with new work, while throughout the season, the museum’s panel exhibition about soldiers from the area involved with the First World War continues.
