Four exhibitions run at the Ulster Museum starting with ‘Artist as Thief’, John Lavery’s debt to the art of the past, showing his work alongside historic paintings from the Museum’s own collection. Landscapes from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland are displayed in ‘Looking at Landscape’ with works dating from the 1950s through to the 1990s. The 136th RUA Annual Exhibition continues, with works by David Crone, Rita Duffy and Colin Davidson, amongst others. ‘International Ireland’, brings together 20th- century Irish and international art with several of the Museum’s new acquisitions. Lavery: until 19 August 2018; Landscape: until 11 February; RUA: until 7 January; International Ireland: 26 January – 22 April
