At the National Photographic Archive, the National Library of Ireland have opened ‘Photo Detectives’, its first community-sourced exhibition of photographs and stories. Celebrating the NLI’s rich photographic holdings, the exhibition highlights the work of the dedicated global research community which has contributed significantly to uncovering details about these holdings. With twenty-six images and stories, the selection has been drawn from the NLI’s Flickr Commons community, where the public has added tags, comments and descriptions to photographs. The exhibition also features interactive displays, and children’s activities.
