IMMA’s exhibition, ‘Social Fabric’ highlights how textiles and textile production have been used to explore agency, community and labour rights, with work by Louise Bourgeois, Ibrahim Mahama, Sibyl Montague, Ailbhe Ní Bhriain and Kathy Prendergast. ‘Protest and Conflict’ platforms artists’ involvement in protest movements and their creation of dynamic acts of resistance to enact social change. Shane Cullen, Ellen Gallagher, Theaster Gates, Sandra Johnston, Mairéad McClean, Mark O’Kelly, Larrissa Sansour, The Artists’ Campaign to Repeal the Eighth Amendment, Pauline Cummins and Louise Walsh are among the featured artists.
