This year Adam’s summer loan show, entitled ‘Irish Women Artists 1870-1970’, will highlight the significant role women played in the history of Irish art. The exhibition will feature over 100 pieces in Dublin and will reduce to 70 pieces for its time at the Ava Gallery, Bangor. The exhibition consists of works drawn from private collections and offers the public an opportunity to see works that are not normally on public display. Artists include Sarah Purser, Mainie Jellett, Evie Hone, Norah McGuinness, Grace Henry and Estella Solomons, with sculptures from Hilary Heron and Gerda Frömel.
