Designed by Daniel Robertson, Johnstown Castle has recently reopened to the public after a substantial restoration. While enjoying the Castle, visitors can view Edward Thomas Parris’s portrait of Hamilton Knox Grogan Morgan and his family, recently conserved by Pearl O’Sullivan, as well as a commissioned illustration of the site by Danielle Morgan of Flax Fox Designs for the newly opened visitor centre. The Irish Agricultural Museum is also housed in the Castle Estate, showing a display of the history of farming and rural life in Ireland.
