This series of self-portrait paintings emerged out of my love of portraiture and natural materials. As I developed a relationship with the landscape on the west coast of Ireland, I respectfully collected elements that I incorporated into my paintings. Consequently, an intimate connection with the earth found its way into an exploration of my inner self as i made these pieces.
