I’m trying to recreate and reinstate the lonely world as a credible and respected one. The sacred figure is, for me, a lonely one and one that’s been created to be held apart. Shrines become less about offerings and more about the distraction of organization. The sacred space is anointed with an importance based upon escapism and exclusion from the outside world.
