Through my painting I explore the concept of 'Block Time’ where past, present and future coexist in a continuous field. I draw from Irish mythology, Neolithic dolmen structures, and the enduring presence of ancient landscapes. I create large scale, textured paintings using materials like clay and polyfilla to evoke the erosion and fragility of memory. An exploration of blurring the lines between myth and materiality. Grids, mark-making, and drips of paint are recurring motifs, through which I symbolise the tension between structured time and organic history. Through my ongoing research into Ireland’s sacred sites and my own personal life experiences the work conveys an atmosphere that is both deeply personal and historically resonant. I am always looking for new ways to expand my storytelling while fostering a broader dialogue about art, memory and landscape.
