My project blends textile techniques with modern design and technology to explore organic forms and shapes. Each piece, with its intricate design, story, and name, is a tribute to the beauty found in folklore and nature generally. Using wire crochet and 3D printing, I’ve linked the past with the present, showing that beauty can still be found in imperfection. By intertwining traditional crafting techniques with modern aesthetics, I have created a collection of wearable stories, each piece celebrating the interconnectedness of the organic world and human expression in its own way. The result of my final collection is a set of large-scale jewellery pieces, using steel, silver and 3D printed organic shapes. The wire is hand-crocheted and crafted to feel light and enhance the wearer's body. Due to the fall of light and shadow, a pattern on the body forms, encouraging us to question the relationship between nature and the body.
