I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and animator drawn to the emotional and personal side of creativity. My work embraces imperfection, experimentation, and the raw, expressive qualities of traditional media. My final year project, 'Creative Confidence', is a mixed media animation that explores the struggles of self-doubt and uncertainty faced by design and art students, which are themes I’ve personally experienced throughout my creative journey. Through charcoal, ink, and paint, I built abstract visuals that were later enhanced by digital tools and animated. These visuals are guided by my own voiceover, which acts as a reassuring companion for viewers sharing similar feelings of insecurity or creative fear. The project is structured around four core challenges/issues that often hold young creatives back: the fear of judgment, fear of the unknown, fear of starting, and fear of losing control. My goal was to create something that speaks directly to students who feel like they don’t belong, reminding them that their work doesn’t have to be perfect or fit into a particular style to be valuable. I believe that creativity thrives through making mistakes, taking risks, and finding your own visual language. 'Creative Confidence' is both a reflection of my own growth and a message of encouragement to others still finding their voice.
