I am drawn to the femininity of nature, exploring how I can express the natural world throug clothing. Exploring the concept of femininity, I want to craft garments to portray the feminine as both powerful and beautiful, through the lens of nature. My Graduate collection, Atropa Belladona, seeks to explore the relationship between death and femininity through poisonous plants. Atropa belladonna (Deadly nightshade) can be seen to translate as ‘deadly woman’, a prominent feature throughout my design process. My goal in this collection was to create a narrative which portrays the woman wearing these outfits as deadly.
