I am a ceramic artist and recent graduate in Ceramics at Limerick School of Art and Design, whose practice is rooted in the belief that art can elevate the everyday. My work is mainly functional and is infused with playfulness, childhood memories and a desire to evoke joy and curiosity, My work is distinguishable through soft pastel glazes, glossy drips and round shapes that are designed to be delightful to hold and to use on the daily. My latest project is based on candy which is a big inspiration of mine that comes from a childhood memory of me standing in front of the candy counter at the cinema. For me, candy is a symbol of simplicity and happiness, a reward and a moment of escape. Through my thoughtfully crafted ceramics, I aim to bring a sense of warmth and delight into daily rituals, turning functional objects into small vessels of nostalgia and positivity.
