My practice spans sculpture, drawing, and oil paints. I investigate the structures that shape Ireland and the sense of self in relation to religion. My work engages the intersection between personal memory, cultural rituals, and institutional history. Intertwining mainly female identity in a patriarchal Ireland and how that looks in my work. My work examines how childhood can be affected in a country repressed and in a stronghold of religious views. I investigate how past and present memories can hold emotional weight, and I invite viewers to find their own reflections in a shifting world. I build my compositions through clay sculpture, oil paint and quick motion drawing allowing chance to shape each work. I create dynamic sculptures that embody religious themes, using shape and texture to evoke a sense of reverence and transcendence. My oil paintings delve into the symbolic and emotional power of religious imagery, while my drawings in pastel emphasize the fragility and depth of the spiritual journey. Through these mediums, I seek to capture the complexities of faith.
