Based in central Dublin under the artist name ‘Leouchev’, my practice toes the line between fine art and design, encompassing illustration, graphic design, painting, animation, writing, video, and sound design. I take a mixed-media and cross-platform approach to each project, utilising my creative adaptability to bring the concept to life through experimentation and iteration. Working with themes of Irish politics and culture, I research thoroughly to create meaningful narratives with empathy. What’s most important to me is the human touch. I create illustrations primarily in oil, watercolour and pencil, responding to real stories and laying and embedding information within.
