I am an animator based in Wicklow and Dublin. I teach life drawing and experimental animation at IADT Dun Laoghaire. I enjoy collaborative practice with informal collective In Practice(s), other artists, and with the art group based in my local arts centre The Courthouse in Tinahely, this allows me to consider new approaches and contexts to inform my own work. I use mixed media and observational drawing to examine my experience in physical activity. My project The Gentle Artist: Records of Experience uses my creative practice in animation as a means of phenomenological investigation into my physical practice of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, examining how these two things connect bodily and can be shared with an audience through film.
