I am a Design for Film graduate, specialised in Costume Design. My work merges my two passions, fashion and film, using clothing as a visual language to express a story, a character or a particular feeling. In my work I enjoy exploring my creativity looking for new ways to represent characters within a script, combining my own taste with the original idea. I studied at IADT, Dublin and am currently based in Barcelona, Spain. Throughout my time at university I have developed a practice that balances research and design with technical sewing skills. My graduate project, “Aelita: Queen of Mars” is a showcase of my skills both as a costume designer and maker. This project brings to life the 1923 science fiction novel Aelita by Alexei Tolstoy, set in Post-Revolutionary Russia and on planet Mars. I am eager to bring my technical skills in sewing and design to the professional industry and to continue evolving as a costume designer and artist.
