I am a multidisciplinary artist, and at present my practice centers around fused glass, ceramic and painting. It is the grounding tactile processes that ignites my curiosity. Glass can be challenging, but when the artist, glass and kiln are in sync, it feels like a form of alchemy. My internal theme is modern and traditional but I have not come to that yet. For now I grapple with base interactions, shifting shapes, pared back expression, shared energies and illusions. I try to transform spaces into soundboards, so that people can make their own connections and realisations. The work is warm and welcoming, I have watched it spark joy in the faces of many onlookers. I am always working out some form of colour combination within my own ever shifting signature. I have learned that art is not just a canvas or a beautiful glass window, it is a unifying force shared between artists. It can be a chosen profession. There is a duty to record one’s indentation, through emotional dialogue with a canvas, through honest and intelligent discourse.
