My work explores the meeting point between Eastern and Western visual cultures, reflecting my own experience of growing up between different cultural perspectives. I am interested in how our backgrounds, traditions and values can influence the way we see, understand and respond to an image.Through photography and graphic design, I experiment with colour, symbolism, composition, framing and storytelling to create a hybrid visual language. I draw on ideas of analytical and holistic perception, combining Western approaches that often emphasise the individual with Eastern approaches that consider the wider environment and relationships within a scene.Using graphic overlays, symbolic motifs, colour grading and experimental compositions, I aim to bring these visual traditions together rather than separate them. Ultimately, my work represents my own multicultural perspective while inviting audiences from different backgrounds to recognise familiar elements, interpret the images in their own way, and experience a shared visual space.
