My practice explores protection, vulnerability, and the body through contemporary jewellery. My graduate collection, *Go Faster, Bite Better*, takes inspiration from natural defensive armours found in animals, such as the claws of a badger or the horns of an antelope. I take inspiration from these natural forms without directly replicating them, instead reinterpreting their shapes, structures, and protective qualities through my own design style.Through the collection, I draw connections between the physical ways animals protect themselves and our own instinct to create emotional defences against vulnerability, embarrassment, and exposure. I use jewellery as a form of personal armour, creating pieces that sit between adornment and protection and appear both sleek and harsh.
