My visual practice is interwoven with the theories of Julia Kristeva’s le sémiotique and Jacques Derrida’s deconstruction. I address the issues of identity, relationships, memory, decay and transformation through my drawings and work with paper. Everything I do is motivated by touch and underpinning it all is a personal narrative; I am telling my mother's story as well as my own.
