The dog has bestowed us with unconditional love, lowered blood pressure, reduced stress levels and benefitted our mental health. We, humans, have evolved the domestic dog through selective breeding creating the designer dog. Serious breed related health issues have resulted, such as breathing difficulties due to its malformed nose and face. My work explores the dark side of modern dog breeding.
