Congo Mémoire explores the history of the Democratic Republic of Congo in collaboration with members of the Congolese community in Ireland. The work aims to disrupt the spectacle of images of violence normally associated with neo-colonial representations, thereby inviting the viewer to critically engage with discourses and ideologies informing the Congo’s current economic climate.
