Emma Scully is a professional printmaker with a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art Print from the National College of Art and Design. Her multi-disciplinary work presents itself through the mediums of printmaking, sculpture, performance, and textiles. Her work looks at societal issues through a feminist and imaginative lens; often adopting a collaborative and socially engaged approach. Heavily influenced by Irish female artists, the feminist art movement and surrealism, she gravitates towards unusual forms. Sometimes grotesque, usually surreal, and often hairy. Her recent project 'I Will Serviva', collaborates with people experiencing homelessness to produce a hand-printed, hand-stitched patchwork quilt. The work aims to shine a light on the imagination and creativity of those experiencing homelessness while raising money for The Peter McVerry Trust.
