As a testament to the bitter irony of digital dependency; the glitches and warped colours illustrate conflicting thoughts regarding Western culture’s addiction to digital media platforms and the feeling of exclusion if I choose not to participate. These feelings concur with the definition of cognitive dissonance, the anxiety that stems from holding simultaneous yet contradictory beliefs.
