Through an ongoing engagement with the hysterical, the awkward and the banal, my work aims to challenge traditional depictions of sexuality which foreground it as an area of human experience to be both worshipped and feared. Semper Augustus is an enquiry into one woman’s understanding of her body and its cultural and historical significance.
