The concept of my collection developed from a series of aerial photographs by the photographer Tom Hegan of coal mines in Germany and the damage caused to the land as a result. I designed my collection to show the process of coal burning and breaking down by focusing on heat damage and developing large panels on the body to create a slice affect.
