As a multidisciplinary artist whose primary focus is ceramics, my work explores and expresses the warped darkness of memory, trauma and healing. I do this by fusing fantasy and reality using the vessel as my main inspiration. The internal and external aspects of my vessels tell a story. I begin by throwing on the wheel freely, without overthinking. This unleashes a natural creative flow. Once I establish a general direction, I deliberately take back control, but still allowing the subconscious to drive the process. This creates a mix of realistic and fantastical elements. A remembered environment materialise within a form. The fusion of the real and imagined. My work is about expressing my inner world and embracing the unpredictable nature of the creative process. Each piece serves as a bridge between the familiar and the unknown. The final result is a tangible manifestation of that initial fusion of fantasy and reality, a reflection of the power of surrendering and letting imagination take control.
