My artistic practice delves into themes of domestic labour, the body, and repetition. I explore these concepts through research rooted in my immediate environment, focusing on the home and the cyclical routines of motherhood. Utilising a blend of drawing, paint, collage and found objects, I document symbols of daily life and those never-ending to do lists. By depicting fragmented bodies, kitchen cupboards, domestic appliances, and accumulated lists, I offer a playful and humorous perspective on the unpaid, mundane, and often overlooked labour within the home. My work highlights humour found in exhaustion, chaos, and the sheer ridiculousness of it all, the never-ending cycle physical and emotional labour in the home. Rather than presenting tragic images of overwhelm, the work represents hilarity in the reality of everyday life and serve as visual representations of resilience.
