Aiséirí my personal response on learning of the remains of children and babies found in an unmarked site in the Tuam. I focused on the lack of ritual which usually accompanies such a huge loss. My intention was to create a small sacred space to acknowledge the existence of these innocents and the casting 796 small hearts became my ritual, adding the sound of dripping water to add a sense of rite.
