My art practice explores the experience of ‘the walk’ both in rural and urban environments. Every time we walk we proceed along a line and our body becomes the surveyor. For this work I created a series of drawings during four coastal walks utilizing elements such as the weather and the movement of my own body to record the immediate marks made as a direct translation of that time and space.
