TpartyYou are invited to my Tparty! Grab your favourite cup and sit with a mother and daughter as they share precious quiet moments with tea, a ritual full of warmth, comfort and connection. As the daughter grows up and distances herself, her mother is left alone to linger on the past. Both growing resentful in the new chapter of their lives, unspoken tensions build beneath the surface, and like a kettle left too long on the stove, pressure builds between them until it cannot be contained. The two are growing, making and breaking bonds, and ultimately find their place with one another. This 2D animation came from pondering the growth and development of relationships in my life. ‘Tparty’ explores the silent turmoil a parent and child might feel as things change with time.
