Ciara Lenihan b. 1991 is a Newcastle Upon Tyne based artist working in printmaking, sculptural installation, video and performance. The use of materials unfit for perfect simulation dominates her work; she is intrigued not by the perfect copy but the imperfect copy. The work examines ancient architectural motifs, grafting a new kind of space outside of what we know as history and reality.
